Since opening in September 2015, the club has grown to be a well-established Out of School Club in the City of York. Continuing links between the Local Authority, schools and other settings have made this achievable, in our mission to provide quality, affordable care for families across the city of York and further afield.

The Playden is a warm, welcoming, and engaging childcare provision based in the Annexe within the grounds of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs RC Primary School. We are proud to offer a safe and nurturing environment where children can relax, explore, and thrive outside of the school day. With access to a large outdoor play area, we encourage active, imaginative play and provide free-flow access between our indoor and outdoor spaces. This allows children the freedom to choose how and where they play, supporting their independence, creativity, and well-being.

We offer a convenient and reliable Breakfast Club and After School Club for children attending Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Primary School, helping families balance busy schedules with high-quality care. In addition, our Holiday Club is open to children from schools across the York area, providing fun-filled activities and opportunities to make new friends during school holidays.
